You Can Change Your Blogger URL

I recently discovered that I could change a blogspot URL and it a very easy thing to do.

First a warning. Only do this if your blog is very new. Unlike when I bought a domain name, Blogger will not forward clicks on the old URL to the new one. So this is something that should only be done if/when a blog is very new.

I started a new site to sell items I am crocheting. All of the items are made from renewable resources like cotton and wool. So my original site URL was 'madeoutofcottonandwool'. As I worked on the site I realized I didn't like the sound of that and wanted 'madefromcottonandwool'.

To make the change I went to Settings and then clicked on the Publishing tab. In the box with 'blogspot address' was 'madeoutofcottonandwool'. I typed in 'madefromcottonandwool', checked availability, entered the Word Verification and was done.

Very quick. Very easy.
