Have you read about Google page rank? Ever wonder what it really is? Well you are not alone.
Google has a definition for page rank. It considers every back link (where another site links to your site) as a vote. The more back links the more votes. But each vote is not equal. Some votes are more important than others. A back link from a site with a page rank of 5 is worth more than a back link from a site with a page rank of 0.
But not 5 times as much. This is where it gets complicated. These votes are used along with other parameters in some type of complicated formula that is supposed to determine, among other things, how well a site will do in a search.
But this formula does not take into consideration actual traffic. So some site has 1000s and 1000s of back links and therefore has a high page rank, but nobody visits it. Is this truly a good way to judge a site?
Izea Ranks doesn’t think so. Izea Ranks has come up with a way to track ACTUAL traffic. This is accomplished by adding a small amount of code to your html. (This is done with very clear instructions and if I can do it anyone can do it.) With that code, Izea Ranks tracks your ACTUAL traffic. Using these actual statistics, and not some weird formula of estimates, Izea Ranks your blogs. Seems, to me, to be a better standard of blog traffic.
